Study Rooms at the V&A

These images bare very little relevance or resonance with the subject matter itself of my project as they were selected for us to view as part of our theory module they come from a really wide range of countries and backgrounds and depict everything from book covers to traditional woodcuts. However, I felt it was still influential for me for this project as much of it was heavily decorated and incorporated a lot of pattern, which is my main aim for whatever the outcome of this module comes to be for me.

I also now realise that patterns have a lot to do with 'balance' and symmetry - the antonyms of imbalance, in other words... the result when the imbalance is cured : )
