Just thought I'd pop this on the blog because it was hugely inspiring! I went to the 5 years of graphic design exhibition at the RCA this week, it was amazing to see the progression in technology and its role as an aide to the subject of graphic design from printmaking/pen through to the high end Adobe software we use today. As I am doing A LOT of screenprnting in my other module at the moment this was particularly fascinating for me - seeing how endless the possibilities really were with tricks and things I'd never even thought of before. The exhibition was largely focused around posters and prints, but the zine section in the middle was also fascinating. The exhibition made me consider colour combinations deeply and also the incorporation of text and image together....which is something I could do with more practice in!
